- Rico Carty was a Maple Leaf in 1963, won a batting title for the Atlanta Braves in 1970, was on the disabled list for all of 1971, and played for the Blue Jays in 1978 and 1979.
- Dave Lemanczyk, who lost on April 8, 1977. He made the All-Star team in 1979.
- An Expo in 1972, Hector Torres hit the Blue Jays first grand slam in 1977, and later coached the Blue Jays in 1990 and 1991.
- Rick Cerone. The Opening Day catcher in 1977, he retired from the Expos in 1992.
- Mark Bomback. Acquired in a trade from the Mets on the eve of the 1981 season, Bomback lasted two seasons in a Toronto uniform. He won 20 for the Vancouver Canadians in 1979.
- Mike Morgan, a Blue Jay in 1983, and a Diamondback 18 years later.
- Willie Upshaw. He had 104 RBI in 1983.
- Would you believe? Jimmy Key. He was the lefty bullpen ace in his 1984 rookie season, and moved to the starting rotation a year later.
- A Chicago Cub from 1977 to 1980, Dennis Lamp was 11-0 in 1985. Bill Caudill (a Cub from 1979-1981), Tom Filer (1982), and Cliff Johnson (1980) were the others. For the record, Filer went 7-0 in 1985.
- Phil Niekro, elected to the Hall of Fame in 1997. He shut out the Blue Jays, 8-0, to win his 300th on October 6, 1985.
- Prior to Junior Felix, the last player to hit an inside the park grand slam was Yankees pitcher Mel Stottlemyre, who hit one on July 20, 1965. His son, Todd, was a Jay from 1988 to 1994.
- Xavier Hernandez. Born in 1967 in Pt. Arthur, Texas, he pitched seven of his ten major league seasons with the Astros (1990-1993, 1996) and the Rangers (1997-1998).
