St. Marys The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum along with Lerners Lawyers and the London Convention Centre are hosting the 3rd annual London Salutes Canadian Baseball breakfast on Friday, June 28 from 7:30 am to 9:00 am at the London Convention Centre in London. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to hear from these four special guests; George Bell the only Blue Jay to win the MVP award, Tim Raines a Montreal Expos legend, Fergie Jenkins the greatest Canadian pitcher ever and 2011 Inductee and the best closer in Toronto Blue Jays history Tom “The Terminator” Henke. Team Bell vs Team Raines Celebrity Softball Game will start at 7 pm on Rotary Field. Come early to get a good seat and enjoy the delicious BBQ and cold beverages. The game will mix local media and celebrities together for a fun time! In 2009 Larry Walker took one deep over right field and in 2011 Tony Fernandez slashed a double to the outfield and scored on the next base hit, so who knows what the game will bring this year!
Friday, June 28 The “London Salutes Canadian Baseball Breakfast” will be held from 7:30 9:00 am at the London Convention Centre. The morning will include an intimate fireside chat with 2013 Inductees George Bell and Tim Raines and legendary Cooperstown Inductee Fergie Jenkins, plus a delicious breakfast, a fascinating Museum display, a live auction and a 50-50 draw. Saturday, June 29The Induction Ceremony begins at 11am for Toronto Blue Jays legend George Bell, Montreal Expos great Tim Raines, 19 year professional ball player and former Blue Jay and Expo Rob Ducey, the voice of the Blue Jays Tom Cheek and British Columbia baseball icon Nat Bailey. Special guests include MC Rod Black, Fergie Jenkins, Paul Beeston and Pat Gillick. KIDS ON DECK SUMMER CAMPKids on Deck summer camp is a residential co-ed baseball camp for ages 9-15 and it runs from July 6-12. After testing the campers skills that first evening we head off to Toronto to watch the Jays game on July 7. Then the campers will spend a week learning baseball from some of the best coaches in Canada. For local residents, a day camp option is also available. ST. MARYS 10 May 2013
