St. Marys – We hope you’ve enjoyed the Hall’s events and our progress throughout 2010!

We really appreciate your support through being a member, and we trust that we can count on you joining our team for 2011, which promises to be a most exciting year in the Hall’s evolution.

You will be receiving this letter near the date of our announcement of the winner of the 2010 Tip O’Neill Award. We have some terrific candidates in Ryan Dempster, John Axford, Justin Morneau, Jesse Crain and Kate Psota, but it is going to be hard to deny the 2010 NL MVP Joey Votto the honour. He became the third Canadian to be named an MVP in addition to Morneau and a guy named Larry Walker! Team Canada, coached by inductees Ernie Whitt, Larry Walker and Bernie Soulliere, just qualified for next year’s World Cup and the Pan Am Games. And how about the direction that our Toronto Blue Jays are heading – the excitement has returned! By the way, if you thought there wasn’t a Canadian link to the recently completed World Series, inductee Fergie Jenkins threw out the opening pitch for the final game, and Canadian Jeff Mallett is one of the majority owners of the San Francisco Giants.

Mark your calendar Saturday, June 18th for our 2011 Induction Ceremony. We’ll be hosting our 15th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic the day before, and our 3rd Annual Celebrity Slo-Pitch game on Thursday.

Please contact the Hall to obtain a MEMBERSHIP FORM, and remember too that we provide income tax receipts to all levels of membership now. Also, if you have influence at your place of employment or service club, we would naturally appreciate you promoting our Grand Slam Membership option. We also have advertising options for corporate Canada both in our Annual Program/Yearbook as well as on the outfield fence of St. Marys Cement Company Field. In addition, please consider sponsoring a shade tree or a bench surrounding Canada’s Field of Dreams to recognize someone special.
