St. Marys Eighty-five local children enjoyed the baseball clinic put on by the roving Toronto Blue Jays coaching crew last year and the Hall of Fame is hoping that registration tops one hundred this year.
The Blue Jays and General Motors will return to St. Marys to conduct an instructional clinic for boys and girls ages 7-14 this weekend on Saturday, April 29 on the Rotary Field at the Hall of Fame.
The clinic will run from 11am to 4pm and along with the Blue Jays instructors Hall of Famer Jim Fanning will be on hand to provide his expert advise. Participants must pre-register at the Hall's administrative office. Thanks to the contribution by General Motors, the cost per player is $15.00, which includes a BBQ lunch as well as a Blue Jays shirt, cap and ticket voucher.
All participants are asked to arrive at Rotary Field no later than 10:45am on April 29th. Players should bring their own gloves, caps and wear sunscreen.
"The Blue Jays sent us a message by returning to St. Marys, as they like to change venues from year to year," said Hall president & CEO Tom Valcke.
"They strongly support the Hall's business plan, especially our youth initiatives, and this is yet another demonstration of our cohesive partnership."
