Friday, July 19th will be Opening Day of our three game home stand against the Batavia Muckdogs and the beginning of our Millionth Fan Celebration. Due to some help from Mother Nature we will not draw the "actual" millionth fan during this home stand. However, the Expos will go ahead as planned with the naming of our "ceremonial" millionth fan.

During each game of the three game home stand we will draw three ticket stubs. Then on Sunday, July 21st the nine ticket holders will take to the field. Once on the field, they will be given a box with eight of the boxes containing autographed baseballs and one containing a golden baseball. The ticket holder with the Gold baseball will be crowned our "Millionth Fan"

The Millionth Fan will receive: Two lifetime Vermont Expos General Admission season tickets, a Vermont Expos starter jacket, Vermont Expos fitted cap, two recliners from The Superstore, DVD player from Showtime Video, 7 night camping gift certificate to any Vermont State Park Campground, Voucher for six-day program at Space Camp Canada (age 9-15) courtesy of Fox44, Custom Bowling Ball and $100 worth of Bowling from Bowl New England, 23 Collector’s Edition Baseballs from the 1980-2001 All-Star Games courtesy of Pepsi and $100 shopping spree to True Value.

So come and welcome the team back home and be a part of Vermont Expos history. Who knows, you could be the Millionth Fan!

July 26th, Ben and Jerry’s will be bringing us back to the Swinging Sixties! Centennial Field will be surrounded be tye-dye, peace signs, and smiley faces. There will be Face painting and balloons for the kids, a Jerry Garcia look a-like and tunes that everyone knows. So come out in your favorite 60’s inspired attire and cheer on the team.

Most people realize that everyone associated with the Vermont Expos love baseball, but do you know our second favorite sport? Golf! That’s right, we love to tee off and shoot for par and once in awhile we even birdie it. Tuesday, July 30th The Vermont Expos in cooperation with the Windjammer Restaurant are hosting their fourth annual Golf Tournament. The tournament will be hosted at the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes.

The Entry Fee will be $150 per person or $600 per team of 4. The Entry fee will include Greens fee, golf cart, Tournament Give-A-ways, Range balls, Lunch from Windjammer Restaurant, Beverages on Course, Tournament Awards and reception. All proceeds go to Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, a week long resident Camp on the shores of Lake Champlain in Colchester, Vt. Camp Ta-Kum-Ta gives children with Cancer a special week away from hospitals and treatment routines. It combines the fun of a traditional summer camp with the special arrangements necessary to ensure the safety and well being of children with Cancer.
